Near-to-Far Field RCS Calculation Using Correction Optimization Technique

چکیده

Radar cross section (RCS) is a scattering measure of an object that scatters to the radar. However, existing methods for near-field (NF) measurement and data processing rarely extract amplitude characteristics, there lack effective verification far-field (FF) in process NF FF transformation, which leads inaccuracies prediction accuracy. In this paper, we propose method establish relationship between RCS using state space (SSM), based on accurate estimation measurement, then deriving from signal convolved with near-to-far kernel. The proposed solution address uncertainty issue reference involves geometric theory diffraction (GTD) center model as establishing linear equation derived model. negative gradient search (NGS) system identification concept used optimize order reduce discrepancy values. Finally, corrected error provided additional proof effectiveness these techniques enhancing transformation accuracy by examining outcomes three experiments.

Seismic Behavior of Jacket Offshore Platform Subjected to Near and Far Field Ground Motions

Offshore structures such as jacket platforms have to inevitably be designed against  sever  environmental actions. In seismically active areas these structures also become susceptible to earthquake excitations. Strong ground motions recorded  in recent earthquakes, including the 1995 Kobe, Japan, 1999 Chi-chi, Taiwan and 1999 Kocaeli, Turkey earthquakes, revealed that the dynamic motions in nea...

Rcs Prediction from Planar Near-field Measurements

It is well-known that, at low frequency, far-field RCS can be measured using a suitable implementation such as outdoor range or large anechoic chamber. The aim of this paper is to propose a new algorithm to predict RCS from near-field measurements. The comparison between RCS values obtained from the proposed method and those obtained from direct far-field values shows a good agreement between t...

Experimental Results Validating the Near-Field to Far-Field Transforma- tion Technique with Helicoidal Scan

This paper concerns the experimental validation of the near-field – far-field transformation technique with helicoidal scanning. Such a technique, based on the theoretical results concerning the nonredundant sampling representations of the electromagnetic fields, makes use of a two-dimensional optimal sampling interpolation formula to reconstruct the near-field data needed to perform the classi...

Near-field imaging with far-field data

Using the inverse diffractive grating problem as an example, we demonstrate how a super-resolution can be achieved stably by using far-field data. The idea is to place a slab of a homogeneous medium with a large index of refraction above the grating surface, and more propagating wave modes can be utilized from the far-field data which contributes to the reconstruction resolution. © 2016 Elsevie...
